The ever popular Salamander HomeBoost pump now has even more reason to be trusted, having been awarded The Quiet Mark from the UK Noise Abatement Society.

The Quiet Mark is a stamp of approval given to various home, garden, and electrical brands, as well as cars, musical instruments and more! A surprising amount goes in to ensuring that a product meets the standard set by the UNAS, an organisation founded in 1959 to prevent noise pollution and make it a legal statutory nuisance. Part of their mission is to make it easier for consumers to consciously choose a product that is considerably quieter and less disruptive when operated.

We, at Buyaparcel like to stand by our product offering as much as possible. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out 2 of Makita’s 18v garden power tools. The DUH523Z hedge trimmer and the DUR181Z line trimmer.Taking the test models home, with a couple of non-charged BL1830 (18v 3Ah) batteries, I set to work on my much needed gardening.

Here at Buyaparcel we have been stocking Freud blades for some time now. So in case you weren’t aware, or it had slipped your mind, we wanted to let you know what makes Freud blades so special.

1. Freud saw blades are made of high strength steel meaning the blade remains flat and true even after years of use.
2. The laser cut expansion slots reduce the noise when in use, allow the blade to expand and contract and prevents the blade warping.

The Makita DHP481 18V brushless combi drill is the latest addition to Makita’s expanding brushless range. The DHP458 heavy duty combi hammer drill has not had a brushless counterpart up until now and it is the next rung up the ladder from the DHP459 brushless combi hammer drill.

The fact the DHP481 has a brushless motor straight away tells us that the actual unit will be more compact. This model measures 205mm compared to the 225mm of its predecessor. This will allow you to fit into those tighter spots.

Bahco’s latest handsaw certainly stands out from the crowd and we cannot wait to get our hands on it. The new Blue44 saw is set to arrive in September, so the waiting will be over shortly.

This saw is great for cutting coarse or thick wood materials. The Blue44 is low friction due to its powder coating which is magnetically bonded giving great performance in wet or dry wood. This coating also makes the saw rust proof.

With recent addition of the Makita BL1850 and Bosch 18v 5.0Ah battery we knew we wouldn’t be waiting long for the Dewalt 5 amp battery to arrive.

The great thing with this battery is that it will fit any existing Dewalt 18v Li-Ion tools. Also, Dewalt have worked hard to make sure that an extra amp doesn’t mean extra weight. The 5.0Ah battery weighs almost identical to the 4.0ah battery.

So far this year, Bosch has been on full power with the launch of their 5.0Ah battery and the introduction of ERC, Electronic Rotation Control on their Robust series range of cordless tools. It doesn’t look like they are set to slow down any time soon.

Last month we attended the Bosch Cordless Summit 2014 where we saw the latest Bosch innovation – the 18v wireless battery charger – the first wireless battery charge in the tool market. This will allow you to simply put your drill down on the charging plate in between uses, without removing the battery and the battery will get charged.

We have all experienced kick back from our drill when it doesn’t quite have the power to drill through your required material or your drill bit gets caught on something like an unseen screw.

Drill kickback may just cause you some frustration but when the tool rotates hard and unexpectedly it can cause much worse issues including broken wrists or arms or even throw you from a ladder.

With the warmer weather approaching quickly we will all be starting to think about watering our plants and keeping them in bloom all summer. With Hozelock Automatic Watering, keeping your plants thirst quenched couldn’t be easier.

Bosch have now added the 5.0ah Coolpack battery to their 18v range of blue power tools.

Recent times have seen brands introduce their 4.0Ah batteries to the market, Bosch have taken one step ahead with their GBA 18v 5.0Ah Li-ion battery. Stock will be landing any day now! It will provide up to 25% longer run time than the 4.0Ah without increase the size or weight of the battery.
