Under The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, it is an offence to connect a pump or booster drawing more that twelve litres per minute to a supply pipe, either directly or indirectly. Salamander Home Boost mains fed booster shower pump over comes this barrier due to the integral microchip that ensures the legal limit cannot be breached.
The Home Boost is suitable with a combi boiler and has software built into the unit that will recognise if the mains pressure and flow increases. If it does so it will automatically reduce its assistance to the incoming mains.
