Monarch Ultra HE and Premio HE Water Softeners Achieve WRAS Approval

Monarch are delighted to announce their new battery operated, twin tank duplex series water softeners are now approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS). Monarch continue to be the only UK water softener company, in the merchant channel, whose softeners are WRAS approved.

WRAS is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping businesses and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. It is responsible for preventing the contamination of public water supplies and encouraging the efficient use of water by promoting and facilitating compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. These regulations require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be of an appropriate quality and standard.

The Monarch Ultra HE battery powered twin tank water softener replaces the Monarch Plumbsoft Solo Non Electric water softener and the Monarch Plumbsoft Ultra Non Electric water softener.

The high efficiency Monarch Ultra HE and Monarch Premio HE continue to show Monarch Water's commitment to sustainable innovations in water softening. The softeners have been rigorously tested by WRAS for durability and quality. The Ultra HE and Premio HE models have proven to be of a suitable quality and standard when tested against water fitting regulations, which means that it will be supported by UK water authorities.

Plumbing products are considered suitable if they pass appropriate material and mechanical regulatory performance tests. These tests include checks that products won't affect the taste or smell of drinking water and do not promote the growth of microorganisms.
