Description

The DTM53 is a cordless multi tool powered by an 18V LXT Li-Ion battery, and designed to be compatible with OIS accessories.

This model offers high work efficiency by adopting a brushless motor and excellent manoeuvrability with a slimmer grip.

Like its bigger brothers the DTM52 and DTM51 the DTM53 has a quick release option for ease of blade change. Like the DTM52 the DTM53 is also a Starlock machine.

Warranty

Makita has built a reputation for outstanding Service Care, which supports regular repair and part replacement. Makita will fix and service any Makita Powertool or accessory, even those models that may now be discontinued or obsolete.

Makita 3 Year Warranty

The 3 year warranty applies to tools purchased on or after July 1st 2012. This excludes batteries, chargers, outdoor power equipment, pneumatic/airtools, petrol driven tools, gas nailers, clothes and accessories. These are all supplied with a standard years warranty.

Tools must be registed online on Makita UK Warranty Registration Page within 30 days of purchase to qualify for the warranty extension otherwise a standard 1 year warranty will apply.

Any warranty claims outside of the 1st year but within the second or 3rd must be dealt with directly by Makita.

These extended warranties cover free of charge repairs due to defects in workmanship or materials from original date of purchase, as per Makita terms and conditions.

Registration is required for extended warranty at no cost.

Proof of purchase is mandatory for ALL extended warranty claims submitted.

As of 1st April 2025, Makita batteries and chargers are now covered by a 2 year warranty - registration not required.

What if my product becomes faulty?

Any warranty claim must be logged within the warranty period. This involves sending the tool complete packaged to a local dealer or Authorised Service agent with the 3 year certificate and the original sales receipt.

What courier will my item be delivered with?

If your item is being delivered in the UK or Ireland, it will be delivered by DHL eCopmmerce UK, Evri or Royal Mail, with the exception of pallet items.

Is My Item Available for Click and Collect at your Lowestoft Store?

In stock - Available for next day delivery

If your item is showing "In Stock" then you will be able to do a Same Day Click and Collect order from our Lowestoft Pinbush Road. Our cut off for same day collections is 3.00pm Mon-Fri / 11.00am Saturday. After that the product will be ready the next day for collection. After the cut off you are welcome to do a Call and Collect order by phoning our trade counter on 01502 507666. If your item is in stock you will still be able to do a same day collection and payment.

Our store is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and Saturday 8.00am - 12.00pm so any orders placed the remainder of the weekend will be available for collection on Monday. Weekdays any orders placed up to midnight will be available for collection the following day. This excludes bank holidays.
