Screw Prostate Scancer UK Campaign
Prostate Cancer UK find it difficult to access the huge number of men involved in the supply of building materials and those who use those materials to build our homes, shops, offices and infrastructure.
The consruction industry has the highest percentage male vrs female, employs huge numbers of men and is the 2nd worst category for men knowing the risks, knowing how to get tested and how to get early intervention to prevent deaths
The construction sector is one of the largest in the UK economy, employing 3.1 million people (9% of the workforce).
It’s estimated 89% of that construction workforce is male.
Ageing workforce – 32% of those over 50, 58% between 25 and 49 and only 10% under 25.
That’s 853,120 men in construction at high risk of prostate cancer
These are the men, your colleagues, customers and stakeholders, that we need to be reaching – helping to raise awareness, educate these men of their risk, and empower them to take action.
