The DeWalt DCBP034-XJ 18v XR Compact Powerstack Battery Pack is the next dimension in power to come from DeWalt Power Tools. The DeWalt Powerstack 18v battery system is capable of manoeuvring into those hard-to-reach areas and tight workspaces, with a battery engineered 25% smaller and 15% lighter in comparison to the DeWalt DCB183 18v XR 2.0Ah battery. DeWalt’s Powerstack 18v XR technology works with the complete line of 18v XR tools and chargers - bringing a new lease of life and power to existing power tools.
Dewalt DCBP518 Powerstack Features
Higher max watts out, so there's a greater range of applications
Faster speed of application, giving you increased output and more jobs done
Improved thermal performance. Pouch cells run cooler in application and dissipate heat better than cylindrical cells
Create less heat resistance which means fewer hot pack shutdowns meaning less downtime and more productivity
Increased cycle life, which means better performance for longer
Fully backwards compatible with all Dewalt XR 18v Tools
Dewalt DCBP034 Powerstack Features
The stacked pouch cell battery technology provides a low impedance construction meaning that the rate of flow of electrons is much higher thanks to the innovative internal pouch battery connectors and electrodes providing a greater surface area vs a traditional cylindrical battery cell type
A low impedance construction translates into much higher max watts out, providing more power to your power tools and unlocking the 18v power tool potential to new heights - increasing the application speed significantly
Stacked pouch cell batteries also benefit from superior thermal performance vs cylindrical batteries. This ultimately increases battery durability, improves the cycle life and results in a much greater return on investment for your kit
25% more compact, 15% less weight and a unique rubber overmold as a complete battery pack vs a DeWalt DCB183 18v 2.0Ah Battery Pack

How do Powerstack deliver more power?
Pouch cells run cooler in application because of their lower resistance.
As a result of their increased surface area, heat also dissipates better than cylindrical cells.
Less heat build-up means fewer hot pack shutdowns and less downtime.

How do Powerstack offer a longer life?
When batteries are charged and discharged, their useful capacity decreases, the cell's internal resistance increases resulting in more heat build-up and less available current to power your tools. The capacity loss in the Li-Ion pouch cells used in POWERSTACK batteries is a small fraction of that of a cylindrical cell.
