What is Dewalt Flexvolt Advantage?
Do you want to get more power out of your 18v Dewalt XR Tools?
Dewalt 18v XR tools featuring Dewalt Flexvolt Advantage technology include a brand new electronic module which recognises Flexvolt batteries to deliver more power than with standard 18v XR batteries. The Flexvolt Advantage machine can then draw more current and adjust the power output accordingly. This means that when you use a high performance XR FLEXVOLT battery pack with a FLEXVOLT ADVANTAGE tool, as opposed to a standard 18v battery, you get much more power! These new machines also include new brushless motors with stronger magnets and increased copper in the outer windings.
Dewalt DCBP518 Powerstack Features
Higher max watts out, so there's a greater range of applications
Faster speed of application, giving you increased output and more jobs done
Improved thermal performance. Pouch cells run cooler in application and dissipate heat better than cylindrical cells
Create less heat resistance which means fewer hot pack shutdowns meaning less downtime and more productivity
Increased cycle life, which means better performance for longer
Fully backwards compatible with all Dewalt XR 18v Tools
How do Dewalt DCBP518 5.0ah Powerstack deliver more power?
Pouch cells run cooler in application because of their lower resistance.
As a result of their increased surface area, heat also dissipates better than cylindrical cells.
Less heat build-up means fewer hot pack shutdowns and less downtime.
