Triton Mixer Showers

One of the most popular types of Triton shower are mixer showers. These showers blend hot and cold water within the shower unit itself - so by the time it leaves the shower head, the water is at your desired temperature. Working with your hot and cold water supplies directly, these showers can produce a higher water pressure vs an electric shower, one to bear in mind when selecting your next shower.
We stock various Triton mixer showers to suit every budget, so why not add a modern touch to your bathroom with this popular style? Some models feature concealed hoses and riser bars, giving a more discreet appearance. Dual mixer showers offer an enhanced showering experience thanks to their two showerheads.

Triton have you cover with their sleek and modern designs, with there complementary colours such as Black, Gold and the normal Chrome.

What Is a Mixer Shower?

Most people have a mixer shower in their home and don’t even realise it – and have no idea how they work. But they are actually straightforward. These showers mix hot and cold water together to bring the water to your desired temperature.

Cold water is fed through the cold mains line, while the hot water is supplied from your hot water system.

These showers have a built-in valve that blends the hot and cold water streams together to reach the temperature you select using your shower’s controls (typically a temperature knob or lever).

And if you dont like the chrome showers, then don't worry Triton have you covered , with Black and Gold showers if your going for that extra stylish look and more modern vibe.

Types Of Mixer Showers

We have the Single lever mixer showers:

They operate with a single lever function that can be moved up and down which will control the flow of the water from the shower, as well as moving this up and down you will be able to move this left and right (side to side) which will allow you to adjust the temperature of the water.

In the single lever mixer range you will tend to find there will be two types:

  • Exposed Showers, this is when the shower sits on the wall and along with the plumbing being on show (Exposed to see).
  • Concealed showers is the opposite of an exposed shower where the plumbing is all hidden behind the wall, and all you will normally tend to see is the shower valve or valve and riser rail.

Sequential Mixer Showers:

This is one of the easiest showers to use and operate because of its simple single control. All you have to do is turn the control to the clockwise (Normally) which will adjust the temperature of the water, so the more you turn it the hotter your shower becomes.

The draw back to this shower will be you can NOT adjust the flow of the water.

Just like the single lever mixer shower, the sequential shower is available as an exposed valve or concealed valve.

Concentric Mixer Showers:

Triton Dene Dual Control Mixer Shower Concentric Thermostatic Exposed Chrome

This kind of mixer shower is a bigger, more stylistic version of its smaller brother the Single lever mixer shower. The concentric shower tends to operate with two dials that sit on top of each other.

By turning the outer control, you can turn the shower on and adjust and operate the water flow. The inner control will adjust and regulate the temperature, so turning it one way will make it hotter, and turning it the other will make it colder.

The advantage of this shower is once you find the temperature you are happy with you can leave it there and just turn the water flow of so the next time you have and need a shower you can turn the water on and it will be set on the temperature you left it at, unless a partner or one of your beloved children has changed it to freezing cold to make you jump!

This shower can be purchased in a concealed and exposed style also.

Dual Control Mixer showers :

Triton Push Button Thermostatic Bar Mixer Shower Matt Black Riser Rail Head

The most popular mixer shower is the Dual control mixer shower! This will suit most households. They will come in many different styles and price ranges.

They operate with two simple knobs/levers on either end of the body, at one end you will have the control for the water flow while on the other end you will have the control for the temperature.

There are many different versions of a mixer shower but if you would rather a more stylish dual control mixer showerm you can purchase one that has a diverter valve instead of the standard flow controls, this will allow you to switch the water between a normally smaller shower handset rather than the main shower head which can be fixed.

You can buy this type in with a vertical valve or horizontal, in different colours just like the picture above.
