Premium quality nails for use with the Dewalt DCN690 framing nailer.
Suitable for any site environment - Perfect for the assembly of roofing timbers, fascias, panelling, decking and fencing.
Qualified to Eurocode 5 standard and covering Service classes 1,2 & 3.
Clipped head design. Heat activated tips.
The coarse zinc particles in the galvanised coating cling more tightly to whatever they're fastening and offer some corrosion resistance meaning they perform well for attaching parts of house trim, decks, stairs and window frames.
Not sure which nails you need See our basic guide to nails below
Bright Nails are uncoated nails, susceptible to rust and corrosion, not used for exterior work.
In electro galvanised nails - the coarse zinc particles in the galvanised coating cling more tightly to whatever they're fastening and offer some corrosion resistance. Consequently, they perform well for attaching parts of house trim, decks, stairs and window frames.
Hot dipped galvanised nails are passed through a bath of molten zinc and have a heavier coating of zinc than electro-galv nails. They have a stronger barrier against corrosion so can be used outdoors in non-coastal areas.
Use stainless steel if there is a high risk of corrosion (e.g in coastal areas). To prevent streak or stain in certain timbers (e.g. cedar, redwood) use stainless-steel nails.
