To be used with Grundfos Danube Low Voltage Shower Pumps in a Negative Head situation.

The pneumatic push button is used to start the operation of the pump where insufficient flow of water is available to move the built in flow switches (negative head).

To activate the pump, simply turn your shower mixer to on, and push the button on the pneumatic switch. The pump will start, water will flow and activate the pump flow switches and the pump will continue operating automatically. There is no need to keep holding your finger on the button. To stop the pump, turn the mixer to off, this will stop the water flow and hence the pump.

Installation:

Site the pneumatic switch on a wall or surface as near the shower installation as possible and run the plastic air tube to the area of the control lid on top of the pump please ensure there are no kinks in the air tube line.

Connect the air tube to the pneumatic push button taking care not to damage the moulding. Avoid at all times the air tube touching any hot water pipes as this will have an adverse effect on the performance of the negative head switch.

Remove the existing control box cover from the pump. Disconnect the mains lead and re-route the lead through the cable gland on the end of the new control box and rewire to the connector block taking care to connect the cable to the correct terminals.

Connect the two new wires in the terminal box (on the air switch) to the two N.H terminals on the printed circuit board (connector orientation not crucial). Carefully fit the new lid using existing screws.

Cut off excess plastic air tube and connect to the pressure switch on the new lid.
